RECIPE OF THE WEEK......and this is a really good one!

~Most Dangerous Cake in the World~ Thanks to my dear sister-in-law Bertha Mae for sharing this recipe with me!

FIVE MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) some nuts (optional)
Small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well . Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT!
(this can serve 2 if you want to share!)

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

NOTE: I made this and placed it in an oversized soup mug and cooked for 3 minutes as directed. It was a little drier than I like my cake so next time I will try cooking it for only 2 minutes and see if it is "gooey". I think using the oversize mug may have been the problem though.

OOOOH EEEEMMM GEEEEE Debbie! This is the best thing to come along since the Hershey bar! I'm going to go buy some mugs, make a mix of the dry ingredients for each one, print the recipe on cardstock with a cute border, put it all in a cute basket with one of my half aprons...and VOILA! Christmas gifts for the teen and tween girls in my family! Thank you for posting this darlin'....and we won't tell Santa just how many were "test kitchen" experiments!!! ;0]
