oh...so many signals of summer! usually the little house finches come and build a nest behind the shutter by my front door. they are adorable as they chirp at me from the tree nearby everytime i come out of the front door. the neighboring farmer starts cutting and baling the hay, the corn is planted and on it's way.
Hi Debbie,
I work at an air conditioning firm and when all the lines are ringing off the hooks and people are being mean to my dispatchers and receptionists, or we give the annual heat stress lecture complete with pamphlets and handouts. Then and only then will I admit it's summer, lol.

Hmm.... going out barefoot in the morning to get the paper, smores at the beach on a warm summer's night, sandals and sun dresses, summer concerts in the park, too many to list. Summer is my favorite time of year!

Shhh... I hate the summer. I get really grumpy from the heat... So that is my sad sad signal to summer. I leave the windows open at night and so in the summer I hear the barking of the neighbor dog and the lawnmowers starting at ungodly hours of both morning and night. Wow, I am sounding evil... well, I love swimming :)
